COL'S MOTORBIKE BLOG

Based around my activities in journalism, publishing, promotion and racing, especially in the late sixties to early eighties. It was a pretty wild time, learning what to do as I went, occasionally battling against motorcycling authorities who were not keen to have a private promoter on their patch.

THE BOWEN BOOK BLOG

Includes a regurgitation of my Bowen Book Blog, centred around debunking myths and establishing the truth about legendary manual therapist, Tom Bowen. Based on my book, ‘In Search of Tom Bowen and the therapy he Inspired, and Lots of Other Stuff.’ The blog also covers other activities in the Bowen Therapy world, so beware.

COL'S TRAVEL BLOG

Principally around establishing an international natural therapies school, from the late nineties to the present. The working title here for a book is ‘Travels with Hymie’, or, How to Have a Successful International Business and Not Make Money.’ Hymie was an old camper van we used in our earlier European adventures, to travel from course to course…slowly. As travel expansion was required, Hymie was left behind, but his role in helping us to establish the school in Europe was both necessary and delightful.

... The other stuff

I have spent a very mobile life, from simple continuous house and job shifting in my younger years, to decades of bouncing off and around continents in pursuit of job satisfaction, and a quid, of course, as I’ve aged. Travel, motorbikes and The Book have provided a wealth of ongoing activities over the years. And then there’s ‘Other Stuff.’ Lots of other stuff. Some of it inspired by the ‘big three,’ but others were their own creation. No format on what might be there, but it does give me quite a wide room to play in. Hopefully you’ll play with me.

Moving pictures are easy to make these days, mostly. Some might say, too easy. Music has been a big part of my life and I’ve written many songs. Here, maybe with a cover or two, are some moving pictures with sound of my warblings. And there are one or two videos of various Other Stuff.

Old Stuff just lying about the beach

Old rocks and dinosaurs are a big thing, here in Portugal. Big Rocks have been moved about by ancient humans and stood up in circles or lines everywhere and dinosaurs have left their footprints all over the place, none more accessible than those here in Praia de Salema, in the South. There are tours that

Little automatic 35mm cameras littered our early travellings, soon joined by more serious things Nikon, and of course, phones as they started to get up to a reasonable standard. I think we’ve managed to come up with handy pictorial depictions of some of our activities. Like all the pics on this site, they are, of course, copyright. If you’d like a copy, drop me a line.
